Temporary prohibited area BIP59 within FAXI TMA

1 Introduction

Due to Svarmi drone flight (thermal imaging) activity within FAXI TMA, a temporary prohibited area BIP59 is published until the 31st of August during the night from 00:00 until 07:00.

While the prohibited area BIP59 is active, the approach procedures RNP RWY 01 and RNP RWY 31 for Reykjavik airport will be wholly or partly withdrawn.

The Prohibited area will be activated and the restrictions of the approach procedures will be published by NOTAM with one day’s notice.
