Terminal Apron Construction Works and Operational Restrictions

Content Responsibility: Isavia, Keflavik Airport

1 Introduction

Construction works are in progress on the Terminal Apron at Keflavik Airport.
These works result in changes to aircraft stand availability, apron layout and ground handling procedures.

1.1 Validity

The construction work starts on the 26 May 2026 and will last approximately three years.

2 Operational Restrictions

Aircraft stands 1, 3 and 5 are closed.

Temporary construction fencing is established on the Terminal Apron and is marked and lighted.
Tug Release Point (TRP) 9 is relocated southwards.
Tug Release Point (TRP) 9 is available for aircraft with aerodrome code letter C only.
Tug Release Point (TRP) 10 is available for aircraft with aerodrome code letters C, D and E.
If Tug Release Point (TRP) 9 is occupied, aircraft with aerodrome code letters D and E shall use Tug Release Point (TRP) 8 or Tug Release Point (TRP) 11 with ATC clearance, due jet blast hazard .
Pushback markings on the apron surface are established to ensure safe clearance from the construction fencing.
