Landsvirkjun is constructing the Vaðöldu Wind Farm in Rangárþing ytra. A total of 28 wind turbines will be installed over a two-year period. Installation of the first 14 turbines is scheduled to begin in June 2026.

The remaining 14 will be installed in the summer of 2027.

Installation is expected to commence in early June 2026.

The main specifications of the wind turbines are as follows:
The hub height (nacelle height) is 84,8 metres, and the blade length is 68 m.
The total height of the wind turbines, with the blades in their highest position, is 149,6 m.
